This project provided a valuable opportunity to explore the intersection of personal experience and design. Drawing inspiration from the company's heritage in Sheffield and the essential tools of Japanese knife culture (the pot and knife), I aimed to create tote bags that were both functional and visually engaging. The design process involved delving into my own background as an Asian individual who has found comfort and community in music and cooking. This exploration led me to explore the vibrant energy of the SKA era, a music genre known for breaking down barriers.
